Carlsbad

Hey! I haven't posted in a few months due to laziness, but I'm ready to get off my butt and start posting again! This post will be about my two trips to Carlsbad with my good friends Ricky and Clay. I've been friends with both of them since we were all about 8, and have always been very close. It was great to go to the beach for a few days with them. Clay is working out in Carlsbad, so Ricky and I have been tagging along with him and staying in a hotel for a few days. It's been really fun. Here are some pictures from the last two times we went on our trip-

I've enjoyed spending time with them so much. They are some of the best people I've never met and it saddens me that we didn't spend a lot of time together the past few years. They are such friendly, good natured, hilarious people to be around. I look forward to spending more time with them in the future!

Beach trip!

Hello! Sooo, my friend Aleyah and I recently went on a trip to Huntington Beach, CA. We spent the majority of Sunday there, and it was so much fun. We spent the ride there singing to The Shins, Beirut, and The Fratellis, while eating mango (?) ice cream. Hanging out with Aleyah, or any of my friends, really, is always a blast and filled with a ton of laughter and silliness.

(My swimsuit is from Modcloth.com)

After falling asleep on the sand, almost drowning (and thankfully being constantly saved by my trusty sidekick- the infamous Draco Malfoy [don't kill me, Aleyah]), laughing whilst running away from the water, spotting a Taylor Lautner look alike, accidentally stealing Aleyah's sunglasses, and a million pictures, Aleyah and I left to beach. We walked the pier, and watched people dancing in the middle of a drum circle. I kind of wanted to dance, but I just couldn't do it. There was what looked like a 6 year old boy that was doing crazy hand stands and cart wheels, and I couldn't compete. That would be like singing a song on stage after Beyonce. Yeah, no thank you. After that, we went window shopping for a bit, eventually ending up at IHOP for pancakes and coffee. After that, we went home, thus ending our day. It was all really great, and I hope she had as fun of a time as I did!
On a different note, tomorrow is my graduation! It has finally arrived, and besides me being happy that it's all finally over, I feel very indifferent. My mood will probably change tomorrow evening once I am wearing my cap and gown and seeing a ton of faces that I will most likely never see again. It's all very surreal, but I'm happy to be moving on to bigger and better things!

First blog post!

Hiya! So, I decided to switch from tumblr to blogger. I never did much blogging on tumblr, but due to the enormous amount of negativity that site holds, I decided to switch. Anyway, my name is Alexis Love! I'm a vintage loving lady obsessed with dogs and everything else good in this crazy little world. I live in Southern California. Oh, and I also paint things and read stuff.
I'm not exactly sure what to post in this introduction. I still need to get the hang of this site, it took me a good few hours just designing my page. Oh, well. I will try to update as often as I can, and promise to fill this blog up with wonderful things and good vibes.
I feel the need to post some sort of picture along with this, so here's a picture of a movie I watched recently titled "Come Live with Me".

It stars Hedy Lamarr and Jimmy (or James) Stewart. It's about an Austrian woman marrying a poor writer she has just met as a ticket to stay in the United States. That's all I'll say, but it was such a great movie, and a lot funnier than what I was expecting. (Oh, look, this post has turned into a movie review!) Hedy Lamarr was wonderful, and Jimmy, as always, had me swooning. Just look at the way he holds her! This has turned into one of my favorite movies, and I completely recommend it!

Anywho, I'll cut this post off here. I hope your day has been fun and eventful!
